He's Home!
Dan came home from the hospital yesterday. We are all so happy to have him home. He is still very sore and slow moving... his jaw is wired shut now for 4-6 weeks now. Tonight we made White Chicken Chili for dinner, and we blended some up for Dan. He declared it "the best meal I have ever had in my whole entire life."
His mom and sister (who happens to be an ER nurse) are here for the week, helping me take care of him. He's on liquid morphine, and since his jaws are shut, his meals are limited to juice, protein drinks and anything we can blend up. The kids are so happy to have daddy home. I'm sure the next few weeks will be long, but we will try to make the best of them and get him better soon! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, everyone. I really appreciate it!

You must be so glad to all be under one roof again! I've been thinking of you lots. I'm glad to know things are going pretty well, all things considered.
