  • Toes

For the past... I don't know.... 7? 8? years, I have kept my toenails painted. Mostly some variant shade of pink or red, but occasionally I go for a bright purple, blue or green. (Gotta mix it up, ya know. ;) ) But there was never a time (that I can remember) for years when my toenails weren't painted. Anyway, when we were in Florida last fall, my sister and I went to get pedicures together. And in the months following, the paint (of course) wore of, and somehow I just never got around to repainting them. I've gone several months now with bare toes, and after my initial dislike of them, they slowly grew on me. My disdain/digust began to be replaced with a genuine like for my bare toes. Yesterday I put a coat of very pale peach -- almost nude--  (called Tutti Frutti Tonga, ironically enough) on, and ever since, I've been staring at my toes. So shiny! So pretty! And this is certainly one of the tamest colors I've ever used. It's amazing how time can change your perspective. :) I may never go back to crazy bright colors again. But who knows... come summer, I may be looking for a change once again. :)

And this is probably one of the more inane posts I've ever written. I have no idea what inspired me to write it.

  • Last summer, I kept my toe nails painted. The last time I painted my toe nails (right before Aubrey was born), I just left it. Well, in Feb I realized my toe nail cracked in half where the nail polish ended after months of growth. Ewwww. That may be the last time I fail to remove nail polish for that long!

  • Hey, I haven't stopped by in a while. I am glad you are enjoying spring. Man I haven't painted my toenails in forever. And my baby girl is crying, she doesn't like me being on the computer.

  • I usually go for more of the bare look with my fingers and toes. I'm not quite as daring as some. However if I do a brighter, more adventurous color, it goes on my toes.

Now I have this urge to get a pedicure. :)
